ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Gulf countries deported 38,616 Pakistani nationals during 2025, details presented in the National Assembly revealed.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis shared the figures in a written response during the question hour.

According to official data, 786 Pakistanis were deported from Bahrain, 163 from Kuwait, 2,537 from Oman, 27,692 from Saudi Arabia, 6,794 from the United Arab Emirates, and 644 from Qatar.

The deportations were carried out on charges including illegal stay, visa violations, begging, theft, expired iqama, and other criminal offenses.

Responding to a question raised in the House, the Ministry of Interior informed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has conducted 551 raids since January 2025 against individuals involved in illegal foreign currency trade, hawala and hundi operations.

Authorities registered 576 cases and arrested 703 accused persons, while convictions were secured in 324 cases.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence informed the Assembly that the federal government has prepared a comprehensive National Utilization Framework.

Pakistan’s first hyperspectral satellite is currently undergoing orbit testing.

Officials stated that after completion of testing, image data will be made available to various organizations by the end of this month.

The Defence Minister added that under the framework, satellite services will support agriculture, environmental monitoring, and disaster management sectors, aiming to provide improved services to citizens through advanced space technology.
