Report submitted to Supreme Court details PTI founder’s health issues, lack of timely medical care, pest problems, poor cell facilities, and restricted lawyer and family access.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Barrister Salman Safdar, acting as Friend of the Court, submitted a report to the Supreme Court highlighting concerns about the PTI founder’s health and living conditions in jail.
According to the report, the PTI founder expressed distress over not receiving timely medical care.
He has not met his lawyers for the past five months and receives only a small heater during winter, while his cell becomes extremely hot in summer.
The report stated that he complained of mosquitoes and insects in the cell and difficulty sleeping in the heat.
He also expressed disappointment at not being able to meet his sisters and relatives.
The PTI founder reportedly suffers from limited refrigeration in summer, which has led to two or three instances of food poisoning.

The report also noted that the PTI founder’s eyes were watery during the meeting, and blood clots were diagnosed in his eyes, causing severe discomfort.
Additionally, he has not had a dental check-up in two years, and routine blood tests appropriate for his age have not been conducted.
The PTI founder also highlighted that the TV in his cell is non-functional, and lack of access to lawyers is affecting his right to a fair trial.
Barrister Safdar recommended that the Supreme Court ensure uninterrupted family visits, address pest control in the cell, provide basic necessities such as a refrigerator, and guarantee timely medical examinations.
