Technological integration
Operating within a robust Integrated Air Defence System, friendly forces shaped the battlespace through seamless fusion of kinetic operations with cyber, space, and Electro-Magnetic Spectrum Operations. The kinetic phase featured First-Shoot, First-Kill swing-role combat aircraft, armed with long-range BVR air-to-air missiles, extended-range stand-off weapons, and precision strike capabilities. These were supported by Airborne Early Warning & Control platforms and Air-to-Air Refuellers, ensuring sustained operational reach.
Manned-unmanned teaming
A major highlight was Manned-Unmanned Teaming, with deep-reach killer drones and loitering munitions operating in highly contested and congested environments. This phase tested PAF’s ability to execute high-tempo operations under degraded conditions, demonstrating the force’s capacity for modern, multidomain warfare.
The exercise was conducted under unified command from the Next-Generation All-Domain Command & Control Centre, Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
Operational excellence
The successful execution of Exercise Golden Eagle reaffirms the PAF’s commitment to maintaining operational preparedness, leveraging indigenous technological innovation, and effectively countering emerging and future security challenges. The drill highlights Pakistan Air Force’s continued focus on evolving warfare tactics and strengthening national defence capabilities.
