No negotiations with terrorists targeting women and children: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday said that there will be no negotiations with terrorists who are carrying out attacks on women and children in Balochistan.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said that a large number of Baloch people also live in Punjab. He said that Balochistan has a significant number of educational and training institutions, including medical colleges.
He said there is no doubt that corruption exists at the federal level as well as in every province. He stated that daily smuggling of various goods, including oil, is taking place in Balochistan. Terrorists are earning Rs 4 billion daily through oil smuggling, buying oil from Iran at Rs 40 per litre and selling it in Karachi at Rs 200 per litre.
The Defence Minister said that under the NFC Award, Balochistan’s share is Rs 933 billion. He added that criminals in Balochistan build a narrative of deprivation. He informed that terrorists who are being killed in Balochistan are listed as “missing persons.” He claimed that these so-called missing persons are sitting in Muscat, Oman, and Dubai, while their families are receiving allowances from the state in Pakistan.
Khawaja Asif said that Kulbhushan Yadav was arrested from Balochistan and added that India is involved in terrorism. He said that terrorists possess rifles worth Rs 2 million each and are using American-made weapons. He said terrorists and their facilitators would be dealt with strictly.
He reiterated that there would be no negotiations with those who attack women and children, saying that terrorists are targeting innocent civilians and security forces. He urged politicians to set aside their differences and stand behind the security forces, appealing for unity on this single issue.
The Defence Minister said terrorists would be responded to with the full force of the state, calling on the entire House to unite against terrorism. He added that fighting terrorism is not only the responsibility of the armed forces but of the entire nation.
