KARACHI (Dunya News) -  Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced that the Karachi Safe City Project will be fully operational within two months.

The announcement came during a key meeting of the Sindh Safe Cities Authority, which was chaired by the chief minister and attended by Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjhar, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, and other senior officials.

During the meeting, DG Safe Cities Authority Sarfraz Nawaz gave a detailed briefing on the progress of the Karachi Safe City Project. CM Murad Ali Shah emphasized that the project is crucial for the city’s security and that no compromise will be made regarding law and order. Following the implementation of the e-challan system, the first phase of the safe city project is now being launched.

The chief minister directed the immediate recruitment of necessary staff and approved the hiring of 34 technical and administrative experts for the project. The recruitment will be conducted through a selection committee already notified by the Services and General Administration Department.

Additionally, a revised budget of Rs200 million for the project was approved during the meeting. CM Murad Ali Shah instructed the concerned authorities to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe to enhance law enforcement, surveillance, and public safety in Karachi.
