ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Sunday strongly criticised KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, saying that if he has so much sympathy for terrorists, he should go and live in Afghanistan.

Talking to the media in the federal capital, Talal Chaudhry said Sohail Afridi was once again creating confusion by demanding evidence of terrorism from Afghanistan.

“Does he really not know where terrorists come from?” he asked, adding that more than two dozen countries around the world have already confirmed that terrorism is being launched from Afghan soil.

He said the KP chief minister was deliberately creating ambiguity and questioned the reason behind his soft attitude towards terrorists.

Talal Chaudhry claimed that during the last 11 years, no PTI leader, minister or adviser had been targeted by terrorists, while banned militant organisations were openly operating from Afghanistan.

The minister said no confusion against the national narrative would be tolerated and any soft corner for terrorists was unacceptable. “We have lost more than 1,200 people. How much more blood is needed to wake your conscience?” he remarked.

Talal Chaudhry said the country had seen brutal scenes where innocent people were beheaded and bodies were desecrated. “The real question is whether standing with street politics is more important or standing with the martyrs,” he said.

He warned that if any leader continued to show leniency towards terrorists, the government would show zero tolerance. “If Afghanistan means so much to you, then go there, otherwise we will drop you there ourselves,” he added, using a blunt tone.
