DI KHAN (Dunya News) – At least nine militants were killed in two separate operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said ISPR.

The Army spokesperson stated that the first operation took place in Dera Ismail Khan following a tip-off about the presence of militants, resulting in the killing of 4 militants in a heavy exchange of fire.
Similarly, another operation in Bannu led to the killing of 5 militants, and a large cache of ammunition and weapons was recovered from the extremists.
The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing in these areas to eliminate any remaining militants, aiming for the complete eradication of foreign-supported terrorism from the country.
The statement noted that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who had been involved in terrorist activities targeting security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians under Indian backing.
According to the ISPR, under the National Action Plan and with the approval of the Federal Apex Committee, the counter-terrorism campaign by security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue with full intensity to ensure the complete eradication of foreign-backed terrorism from the country.
