LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Wildlife has launched first-ever whistleblower campaign to curb illegal hunting. Verified information leading to action will be rewarded. The identity of a person providing information will be kept hidden.

Citizens who report incidents of illegal hunting will receive government rewards. Whistleblowers who provide accurate information will be given cash prizes after a successful operation.

A reward of Rs 100,000 has been set for information about the Great Indian Bustard. Reporting illegal hunting of urial or deer will earn a reward of Rs 50,000.

Providing information regarding Houbara Bustard will result in a reward of Rs 25,000 Identifying net trapping or nighttime hunting of partridges will earn Rs 10,000.

Illegal hunting reports concerning peacocks, quails, and waterfowl will also receive Rs 10,000 reward. Reporting illegal hunting of partridges and wild rabbits will result in Rs 5,000 reward.
