ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A video of Pakistan Air Force fighter jets escorting the President of Indonesia during his arrival in Pakistan has gone viral, drawing widespread attention to the ceremonial display.

According to officials, six JF-17 fighter aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force formed an escort formation to welcome President Prabowo Subianto as his aircraft entered Pakistani airspace. The jets presented an aerial salute, marking a distinguished gesture of hospitality.

The Pakistan Air Force aircraft surrounded the Indonesian President’s plane immediately upon its entry into Pakistani territory, creating a visually striking formation as part of the welcome protocol. 

President Prabowo expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan’s leadership and the people of Pakistan for the warm reception extended to him.

Officials stated that the grand welcome symbolised the strong bilateral ties and mutual respect between the two countries. The gesture in Pakistan’s skies reflected the enduring friendship and brotherhood shared by Pakistan and Indonesia. Offering an aerial salute to leaders of friendly nations within Pakistani airspace is a longstanding tradition that represents goodwill and cordial diplomatic relations.
