LAHORE (Dunya News) – The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has extended the deadlines for submitting admission applications to medical and dental colleges, giving students more time after a surge in last-minute requests.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Provincial Admission Committee, chaired by Secretary Specialized Healthcare Azmat Mehmood, where vice chancellors of public medical universities were also present. Officials agreed that extending the dates would “make life easier” for students who were struggling to complete their applications on time.
Under the revised schedule, the last date for submitting applications to public medical colleges has been extended to November 30, while private medical colleges can now receive applications until December 15.
Meanwhile, UHS has also pushed back the deadline for public dental colleges to December 31, and private dental colleges will now accept online applications until January 15, 2026.
Earlier, the final date for all applicants was November 21, but authorities decided to “give students a breather” and “smooth things out” by allowing extra time, especially for those facing technical issues.
UHS officials said the extension aims to ensure that no eligible student is left behind due to time constraints or online submission problems.
