(Web Desk) - Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has strongly condemned the acid attack on a female doctor at a hospital in Quetta, calling the incident ‘barbaric’ and expressing deep shock over the incident.

In a message shared on her Instagram story, the actor said a woman who went to the hospital to save lives was instead targeted in a brutal attack, adding that she was unable to comprehend such violence.

Mahira Khan referred to the victim, Dr. Mah Noor Nasir, and said the attack was so severe that it left her deeply disturbed. She described the act as inhumane, stating that the victim was ‘almost burned alive’ in an act of extreme cruelty.

The actor further said she was ‘shaking with anger’ and stressed that the woman deserved protection and justice. She also called for collective responsibility, urging both men and women to speak out against such acts of violence.

The incident took place at Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta, where a man threw acid on the female doctor, causing severe injuries.

The injured doctor was immediately given first aid and later shifted to a private hospital for treatment. She was subsequently transferred to Karachi via air ambulance for advanced medical care.
