PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – A woman murdered her daughter after she ran away from her house, police said here on Tuesday.
The woman hanged her daughter in the name of honour within the limits of Town Police, police said, adding the victim had allegedly become pregnant before marriage.
The girl’s mother gave a statement to the police that the victim had run away from home. A week later, she recovered her and brought her with her.
According to the police, the mother got her daughter tested, and found the test positive for pregnancy after which she hanged her daughter from a tree. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
