KARACHI (Dunya News) - The suspect involved in the murder of a woman and her three children in Sarjani Town was killed in an alleged police encounter here on Thursday.
According to West DIG, the under custody suspect was being taken to an area for the recovery of murder weapon when he snatched a weapon from a police officer and opened fire while attempting to escape.
Police returned fire, killing the suspect. An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was also injured during the exchange of fire.
Police identified the suspect as Humayun, who was brother-in-law of the victim’s husband. Officials said the suspect had confessed during interrogation to killing the woman and her three children.

According to police, Humayun had previously lived as a tenant in the family’s house approximately one and a half years ago.
Investigators said that on the day of the incident, Humayun arrived at the family’s home at around 2:30pm. An eyewitness saw him entering the house.
