DURBAN (Web Desk) - South Africa all-rounder Marizanne Kapp will miss the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan with an "illness". Eighteen-year-old bowling all-rounder Fay Cowling has received her maiden call-up for the three-match series that begins on February 22.

A CSA statement said Kapp experienced discomfort shortly after completing her spell during the third T20I in Benoni on Monday. "Following further medical assessments, the Proteas Women medical team has opted to rest her as a precaution," the statement said.

Kapp had played the second and third T20Is, bowling three overs in each of them while opening the bowling. She scored 9 in the second game but didn't bat as South Africa were bowled out for 91 while chasing 145.

Cowling has played for South Africa Under-19 and represents Lions in domestic cricket. She was part of last month's national training camp in Tshwane.

The three ODIs will be played on February 22 (Bloemfontein), February 25 (Centurion) and March 1 (Durban). South Africa had won the recently-concluded T20I series between them 2-1.
