LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has proposed to allocate Rs52 billion in the Punjab Board of Revenue budget.

According to sources, the budget for 27 new development schemes has been prepared at a cost of Rs17,030 million, Rs90 million will be allocated for digitizing records in seven districts, and Rs5,300 million will be spent on the construction of rural roads and links in Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur.

An integrated disaster management system will be established in Lahore with a cost of Rs120 million. It has been proposed to allocate more than Rs500 million for the construction and renovation of DCs and commissioner offices across Punjab.

Rs559.8 million will be released for the ongoing projects of the Board of Revenue, and Rs50 million will be allocated for the prevention of erosion of the Chenab River.
Rs55 million will be approved for the construction of Kot Addu and Murree DC complexes and emergency operation centers, Rs530 million will be allocated for the Cholistan Development Authority, and Rs290 million will be allocated for the construction of the complex.

A disaster risk reduction project worth Rs40 million will be approved for flood prevention. Rs336 million will be allocated for ongoing projects of the Board of Revenue, and Rs482 million is proposed for new projects.

Rs60 million will be released for the installation of two 50 kW solar systems in the Hafizabad DC office and camp office, and a Rs50 million project will be approved to protect the Indus River from erosion in Mianwali.

It is proposed to allocate crores of rupees for the renovation of AC House and DC Office in Rawalpindi and Attock. Rs46.3 million is also being allocated for the improvement of Tehsil Complexes in Pasrur and Daska.

The Punjab government has also announced the construction of washrooms for women and the disabled in the district complex.
