ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - A 12-member delegation of senior officers from the administrative cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Services visited the headquarters of Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), where they were briefed on ongoing institutional reforms and administrative transformation measures.
According to the FBR, the visit was part of a thematic component on “Policy Innovation.”
Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial welcomed the delegation and said that Pakistan and Bangladesh share historical ties and a common governance heritage.
He added that exchanges between civil servants of the two countries would further strengthen bilateral relations.
The visiting officials were given a detailed briefing on reforms introduced within the FBR to improve transparency, efficiency, and institutional capacity.
Officials also highlighted measures aimed at curbing corruption, preventing favoritism, and improving administrative governance.
Senior officers from Pakistan Customs and Inland Revenue Service presented detailed briefings on various initiatives being implemented under the FBR Transformation Plan.
Members of Inland Revenue Operations, Customs Operations, and Administration also attended the session.
The Bangladeshi delegation was led by Additional Secretary Salma Siddiqua Mehtab. Delegation members appreciated the FBR’s administrative structure, institutional capacity, and reform-oriented initiatives during the visit.
