KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold and silver prices witnessed a significant increase in both domestic and international markets, according to local reports. In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola rose by 7,100 rupees, reaching 533,562 rupees, while the cost of ten grams of gold increased by 6,087 rupees to 457,443 rupees.

On the global stage, gold prices surged by 71 dollars per ounce, bringing the international rate to 5,108 dollars per ounce.

Silver also saw an upward trend, with an increase of 374 rupees per tola, pushing the domestic price to 8,948 rupees.

Analysts attribute the rise to global demand fluctuations and market volatility.

A day earlier, prices rose sharply worldwide, pushing local rates higher. In the international bullion market, gold increased by $25 per ounce to $5,037.

In Pakistan, per tola gold jumped by PKR 2,500, reaching PKR 526,462, while 10 grams of gold rose by PKR 2,144 to PKR 451,356. Silver prices also climbed, with per tola up PKR 170 to PKR 8,574, and 10 grams rising PKR 145 to PKR 7,350.

Rising gold and silver prices reflect global demand, market volatility, and investor interest in precious metals as safe-haven assets.
