The federal government has reduced petrol prices by Rs2 per litre for the next fortnight, effective December 1. Experts warn this minor relief may be temporary as global oil trends and local pressure
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Finance Division has issued a notification reducing the petrol price by Rs2 per litre, bringing it to Rs263.45 per litre, effective from December 1 for the next fifteen days.
This move follows recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and relevant ministries.
While the cut offers short-term relief to consumers, analysts caution that ongoing global oil volatility, rising energy costs, and domestic economic pressures may trigger further fuel price swings.
Motorists and businesses are advised to brace for possible fluctuations in the coming weeks.
