Sudanese activists say police have raided student dormitories at the main university in the capital Khartoum, arresting and beating hundreds of students.The youth activist group Change Now says the raid took place before dawn Friday at the University of Khartoum. The group says more than 350 students have been arrested.The university has been the site of student protests since late December. The students have staged a sit-in to demand the right to form a student union and to protest police violence in earlier raids there.Opposition member from the Umma Party, Mariam al-Sadeq al-Mahadi, says the raid was an attack on freedom of expression.
