Taliban deny three-way talks with US, Afghan govt

The Taliban say there has been no secret three-way discussion with the U.S. and Afghan governments, countering the Afghan presidents claim that such talks have taken place.Afghan President Hamid Karzai told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published Thursday that a three-way session was held in the past month, but gave no details. An Afghan official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive talks, also said the session had taken place.But in a statement, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid strongly rejected Karzais comments and said, the Taliban did not talk with the Kabul government anywhere.
