Summary Obama has signed an executive order blocking all Iranian government assets in US.
The blocked assets include those of the Iranian Central Bank, the White House said MondayPassed by Congress late last year, the sanctions, aimed at forcing Tehran to shift course on its nuclear program, targeted Irans crucial oil sector and required foreign firms to make a choice between doing business with Iran or the United States. --AFP
