(Web Desk) – Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence confirmed on Monday that multiple US military aircraft crashed earlier in the day, according to UAE-based Khaleej Times.

In a statement, the ministry’s spokesperson said search-and-rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the crash sites. All crew members were safely evacuated and transported to hospitals for medical evaluation and treatment. Officials described their condition as stable.

The spokesperson added that Kuwaiti authorities are working closely with US forces to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents. Joint technical teams have been formed to assess the situation and carry out necessary procedures.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the causes of the crashes. Authorities urged the public and media outlets to rely solely on official sources for accurate information.

US media outlet CNN, however, claimed that videos geolocated by its staff showed a fighter jet crashing in Kuwait and a pilot parachuting to the ground.

Meanwhile, an AFP correspondent reported seeing black smoke rising near the US Embassy in Kuwait on Monday, as tensions escalated amid a third consecutive day of Iranian attacks across the Gulf.

Air raid sirens were heard across the city following a fresh wave of Iranian strikes, launched in response to US and Israeli operations that reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader and other senior officials.

Although the US Embassy did not confirm being struck, it issued a security alert advising people to avoid the area.

“There is a continuing threat of missile and UAV attacks over Kuwait. Do not come to the embassy,” the statement said, adding that embassy staff were sheltering in place.

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry also announced that security forces intercepted several drones targeting the country at dawn.

According to regional authorities, the ongoing Iranian attacks have resulted in five deaths across the Gulf so far, including one fatality in Kuwait.

US F-15 SHOT DOWN

Iranian state media, in the meantime, claimed that its air defense hit a US F-15 fighter jet for violating the country’s airspace. The American aircraft later crashed in Kuwait.

The Iranian military said it targeted the US Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and vessels in the Indian Ocean.

According to a statement, the missile units of the army’s ground and naval forces struck the US Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and enemy ships in the northern Indian Ocean in recent hours, using 15 cruise missiles in the attacks.
