He urged the western states to accept the reality about Iran.Unfortunately, the current nature of the Wests diplomacy in dealing with Iran is an emotional, fully ideological and hostile diplomacy and is at odds with the national interests of these countries, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday.Speaking to Jam-e Jam TV network, Qashqavi reminded that the Islamic Republic of Iran has neither challenged the national interests nor invaded the officials and territorial integrity of the EUs 27 member states, the US or Canada.He further asked the western states to abandon their hostile policies against Iran, and stressed, The West has no choice but to accept the reality about Iran.The West has no other option on the table regarding Iran, he reiterated.Tension between Iran and the West has been rising after the United States and European Union expanded sanctions against Tehran in recent months.Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hit back at the US after Washington introduced new sanctions against Irans central bank.President Ahmadinejad told an annual meeting of senior central bank officials that Irans central bank would respond with force to the new US sanctions intended to pressure Tehran to abandon its nuclear program.He said the bank was strong enough to defeat enemy plans.The sanctions - which cut off from the US financial system foreign firms that do business with the central bank - are part of a defense bill signed by President Barack Obama earlier this month.The extra US sanctions aim to squeeze Irans oil sales, most of which are processed by the central bank, although many even in the West believe that the move would prove futile.
