India has asked Bangladesh for information to help hunt down two suspects in the 1975 massacre of Bangladeshs independence leader and 16 of his relatives and aides during a military coup.Bangladesh last year executed five former army officers for assassinating Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, but several suspects convicted in absentia are still at large. Two are rumored to be in India.Home Minister R.K. Singh on Monday assured visiting Bangladeshi counterpart Monzur Hossain that India pledges all possible cooperation in catching the suspects. The ministry says India has asked for details about the mens appearance and contacts that might help locate them.Rahman was Bangladeshs first leader after its war for independence from Pakistan in 1971.
