India re-activates landing facility near China border

Indian Air Force on Friday presented to the nation an Advanced Landing Ground facility at Vijaynagar in northeastern Arunachal Pradesh state.J. J. Singh, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, who inaugurated the facility, said the motive was not only to enhance military capabilities but to boost development needs of the local people.Singh further said that the road and air connectivity will lead to increase in tourism which would later strengthen the economy of the state.Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a cultural programme on the occasion showcasing the cultural diversity of the region.
