Summary At least people were injured after a grenade was hurled into a Nairobi discotheque early on Monday.
According to an Arab TV channel, the grenade was thrown inside a building which injured fourteen people.The reported added that the incident comes a week after Kenyan troops launched a cross-border operation against the Islamist group Al-Shabaab fighters in southern Somalia, following a spate of kidnappings of foreigners on Kenyan soil.Al-Shabaab had denied being behind the kidnappings, and accused Kenya of using them as a pretext for its military campaign. It warned of reprisal attacks if the campaign persisted.The US embassy in Kenya responded to the warning by cautioning the country of the possibility of an imminent militant attack.
