Iraqi officials say two explosions have killed 15 people and wounded 48 others in a Shiite neighborhood in eastern Baghdad.Two police officials say a bomb went off near a house in Sadr City Thursday night.Minutes later, a car bomb exploded in the same area as people were gathering at the site of the first blast. All of the 15 dead were killed in the second, more powerful explosion.A hospital official confirmed the causalities. The officials all spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release information.Violence has ebbed across Iraq, but deadly bombings and shootings still occur almost daily as U.S. troops prepare to leave by the end of the year.
