Summary A camera aboard one of the trains involved transit accident captures the moment of impact.
A shocking new video released on Wednesday shows how Argentinas dramatic transport accident that killed 11 people started.Filmed from a security camera aboard one of the two trains involved in the accident, it shows how a bus crossing the railway tracks is pummeled by an oncoming train. The first train is then seen flying up into the air and into the path of the second train before the video cuts out.In the video you can also hear two sharp horn blasts from the oncoming train, presumably in a failed attempt to warn the bus. Most of those injured and killed were aboard the bus, and included the bus driver, Filiberto Gallardo. At a wake in his hometown of Tapiales in Buenos Aires Province, Gallardos wife, Soledad, said she couldnt believe her husband was at fault.“I hope that his memory is cleansed. Because nobody knew him except me and my family. Because when they say that he is responsible for this tragedy that is a lie. My children cry from the pain of it because they know their father wasnt capable of that. We admired how my husband drove. We always told him that. He never had an accident, never, and we drove a lot on trips,” Soledad Gallardo said.Local media said on Wednesday the number of dead had risen to 11 and at least 200 people were also injured.
