Gaddafi whereabouts unknown: NATO

NATO said on the current location of ousted leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s was still unknown. NATO Colonel Roland Lavoie added targeting Gaddafi wasn’t the organisation’s main purpose.“Several key leaders of the regime have fled the country. Very senior commanders and decision makers. So very clearly there was an exodus to some extent. Having said that, thinking about Gaddafi specifically, to be frank we dont know if hes left the country. He hasn’t made public appearances in the country now for a while. Thats certainly raised questions about his whereabouts. But we dont have any sure information about where he is at this time,” said Lavoie.A Syrian-based television station said on Monday it had received a new message from the fugitive Gaddafi, who has issued regular battle calls to his followers in the three weeks since Tripoli was overrun, but could not broadcast it for security reasons.
