Summary At least 7 insurgents killed and 55 detained throughout the country over the past 24 hours.
“Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with army and coalition force have killed seven armed insurgents and captured 55 others across the country in 10 joint operations over the past 24 hours,” said a statement, released by Afghan Interior Ministry.These operations had been carried out in Kabul, Kapisa, Kunduz, Helmand, Zabul, Uruzgan, Logar and Ghazni provinces and a large number of light and heavy weapons had also been seized, according to the statement.Six insurgents were injured while ANP found and defused nine Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and discovered an explosive- laden motorbike, it further said. Taliban insurgents have yet to make comment.
