US teacher fired for disrupting Muslim students during prayer

(Web Desk) - A teacher in the US state of Florida was fired for disrupting Muslim students during prayer at a charter school.

A video shared on social media shows two Muslim students praying together in a room at Franklin Academy Charter School in Pembroke Pines when the woman teacher entered the place and hit out at them. “You are all doing magic here,” she reacted after seeing the Muslim students.

“Why are they in my office? Who told them to come in here?" The teacher can be heard saying in the video. Another person answered, “They’re praying.”

"I believe in Jesus, so I m interrupting the floor,” a Middle East Eye report quoted her as saying. She the walked through the students as they are praying.

The person who shared the video on TikTok wrote: “I literally don’t even believe what happened to me is real. I’m still shook.”

As the video went viral on social media, the school administration has reportedly fired the teacher from job for meting out discriminatory behavour to the Muslim students.
