An end to the political impasse over Indias Lokpal Bill was in sight late Thursday evening with the 74-year-old Gandhian Anna Hazare showing flexibility in his stand.Instead of demanding a written commitment from the government, Hazare said he would call off his hunger strike, which entered tenth day yesterday, if the parliament discusses his three demands.There are indications that the parliament may take up discussion on both the Lokpal Bill and the Jan Lokpal Bill — drafted, respectively, by the government and Team Anna — on Friday.In all probability Hazare may end his fast but continue his agitation until a strong anti-corruption legislation incorporating his demands is passed by the parliament.
