Chilean police used water cannons during the latest clashes with students demanding improvements to the countrys education system.About 100 people, most of them students, staged a protest during a ceremony marking the birthday of a Chilean independence hero.More than a dozen protestors were arrested after the clashes in Chillan, 400 kilometres south of Santiago.The annual ceremony marking the birth of Bernardo OHiggins, considered one of Chiles founding fathers, was attended by President Sebastian Pinera.
