According to police, six people, including three children, were stabbed to death on the Channel Island of Jersey on Sunday.A 30-year-old man was in police custody at Jersey Hospital on the island, 160 kilometres (100 miles) off the southern coast of England, recovering from surgery, police said.Police were called to a disturbance at a flat in St Helier, the capital of the offshore financial centre, at about 3 pm.The victims were two women, one man and three young children believed to be Jersey residents but whose identities have not been disclosed.Inquiries were continuing to establish a motive but it is understood no-one else was being sought over the attacks, which shocked the close knit community.
