India’s dwindling tiger population further declined as 19-year-old tigress naming ‘Bipasa’ died on at the South Khayerbari under Coochbehar forest division in eastern Indias West Bengal state.Talking to the media, a Ranger official said the tiger was also suffering from liver failure and doctors tried their best to save the tiger. “We all tried very hard to save the tiger, we gave saline IV (solution) along with other medicines but even after our hard efforts the tiger died,” he said.The forest officials also assigned a medical team to give special attention to her.In the year 2002, Indias apex court imposed ban on the use of tigers by circus companies.
