Summary Indian president Pratibha Patil did not own a car despite assets of Rs 25 million.
President Pratibha Patil became first Indian national to declare her assets on the demand of Central Information Commission.Patil, who completed four years in office, own immovable properties worth Rs8.383 million and movable assets worth Rs16.6 million.The immovable properties of the President include a house in Amravati district of Maharashtra worth Rs 39.61 lakh, a farmhouse spread over 3.2 hectares, valued at Rs 9.82 lakh and agricultural land in Jalgaon district worth Rs 7.81 lakh inherited from her father. Further, she also has agricultural land worth nearly Rs 20 lakh in Dhule district.She has gold jewellery worth Rs3.1 million and silver articles worth Rs 69,134. Despite all this wealth, she is without a personal car.
