Indonesias Mount Lokon erupted to spew hot lava and volcanic ash up to 1,500 metres (5,000 feet) in the north of Sulawesi island, prompting panicked residents to flee the agricultural area on Thursday (July 14).On Friday, more than 4,400,000 people living within 3.5 kilometers of the crater fled their homes and took refuge at nine school buildings.Officials have been distributing face masks to villagers.
