Summary A strong earthquake measuring 7.1 on Richter scale hit Japanese town of Fukushima on Sunday.
Japan Meteorological Agency initially issued a tsunami warning soon after the earthquake which was taken back later. The workers who were working at a nuclear installation were asked to evacuate the site.However, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the earthquake.
