After an exchange of pleasantries at the airport, Britains royal couple climbed into a black Range Rover and traveled in a 12-vehicle motorcade that headed straight to the Beverly Hilton hotel for an event designed to support U.K. trade and investment.In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend a welcome reception at the British Consul-Generals residence.On Saturday, Will and Kate will head north of Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, where Will will participate in a charity polo match.
