He headed to Helmand Province, one of the countrys most violent regions amid reports that a British soldier had been captured and killed by the Taliban.Later Britains Ministry of Defense said the missing soldier had been found dead.The ministry said the soldier was from The Highlanders, 4th Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.It said the soldier had suffered gunshot wounds, but the exact cause of his death was still to be established.At least 374 British troops have been killed in Afghanistan since the start of the war in 2001.
