The United States imposed sanction on the Syrian President Bashar Assad along with six senior officials in his government for violation of human rights.The US accused the Syrian President, Bashar Assad, for ordering the security forces to use violence against the people to quell the protests against his government. Since the protests began on January 26, hundreds of protestors have been killed while thousands have been injured due to the violence.President Bashar Assad refused an offer to step down by the US Government after which the US imposed sanction of President Bashar and six senior officials in his government.
