Addressing U.S. Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on Thursday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the Navys SEAL team which carried out the covert operation in bin Ladens Pakistani hideout had expressed concerns over their safety and that of their families in the wake of retaliatory strikes threatened by al-Qaeda and its affiliates to avenge the killing of bin Laden.Gates said that in White House situation room, all agreed that the details of the operation and commandos would be kept secret for the sake of their security.
