Summary Heavy weapons and tanks were used against anti-government protestors
The police crackdown continues against Syrians protesting against the government. Many arrests, along with those of two leaders, were made in various areas of Damascus and Durra.Abdul Qadir Alkhazanvi and Abdul Samad Ali were charged with inciting the people against President Assad. They were arrested on the night of Saturday. In Durra the president sent forces with tanks to take control of a mosque. Amari mosque has become the hub of anti-government activities. The troops landed on the roof of the mosque through helicopters. Heavy weapons were used during the operation
