NATO welcomes Petraeus nomination as CIA chief

NATO has congratulated Gen David Petraeus on his nomination as CIA head, saying its forces in Afghanistan will continue implementing his strategy of handing control to local security forces. Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Friday the 150,000-strong NATO force “has seen many successes under his command.”
