Tohoku Shinkansen Line service between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori has partially resumed services on Monday after a month and a half in the wake of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.According to a Japanese newspaper, trains will run between Tokyo and Sendai, including stops in Fukushima outside of the no-go area.The East Japan Railway Co announced last Friday that the Tokyo-Shin-Aomori Line will be fully operational by April 29.Passengers at the Sendai station welcomed the resumption of service.Tohoku Shinkansen made headlines less than a week before the massive earthquake for launching an advanced Shinkansen model.The new aero-dynamic green, pink and silver train named “Hayabusa” in Japanese, is one of the fastest in the nation. The launch of the new high-speed train is the first for Japan in 14 years.The Hayabusa will run on the newly extended Tohoku line which now reaches the city of Aomori, some 713.7 kilometers (443 miles) north of Tokyo.
