Two freight vessels collided in heavy fog on Germanys Kiel Canal on Thursday, killing two navigators and injuring the smaller vessels captain and several of the crew.Marine officials at the canal near the north German town of Albersdorf said the cause of the crash was unknown but that there had been low visibility due to dense fog. The injured and the deceased were all on the smaller wood freighter. There are two dead. One of the dead was the pilot and the other one was the canal navigator. The injured were among the crew: The captain and members of the crew, Fischer added. The smaller vessel, The Tyumen-2, a Russian freighter transporting wood, was 116 metres long compared to the heavier 150 metre-long British vessel.
