Summary Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie visited a refugee camp on Libyan-Tunisian border.
The actress visited the camp as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She enquired about the problems of the refugees during her visit. It was also reported that the Jolie-Pitt Foundation had given financial aid to 177 refugees.The UNHCR says more than 0.4 million people have fled from Libya in the last month amid fighting between rebels and President Moammar Gaddafis forces.The actress thanked the Tunisian authorities for their generosity towards the refugees, saying that the current situation calls for the intervention of all parties with a view to alleviate their suffering and make this tragedy known throughout the world.
