Summary New Jersey Police foil a second attempt to smuggle drugs into jail, in March.

Cape May County Sheriff, Gary Schaffer, said that the drug, subozone, normally used to treat heroin addicts, classified as a controlled dangerous substance, was dissolved into a paste and then painted into the colouring book.Three inmates, Zachary Hirsch, Charles Markham and Paul Scipione were charged with drug smuggling, along with Markhams mother, Debbie Longo and Katelyn Mosbach who were dispatching the letters.Schaffer said that he had been in law enforcement for 38 years but he had not seen anything of this sort. Earlier in the week, a tip was received that drugs were being smuggled in through drawings. Upon investigation, letters with ‘To Daddy’ scribbled on top which were being sent to the prisoners were seized. Authorities at a prison in Carbon County, Pennsylvania earlier this month arrested 11 people in what they said was a scheme to hide the drug beneath postage stamps on letters mailed to inmates from family members.
