Summary The Syrian government accuses the opposition party of fanning sectarian to continue protests.
At least 10 security officials among 12 were killed and 200 injured in a clash between the protestors and security forces in Lataika, on Sunday. The government has called in the army to control the situation in the region. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is going to address the nation on Monday as protests against the government continue on the 14th day. Despite a promise by the government to soon end the emergency rule, the protestors demand the government to quit immediately. On the other hand, security forces, in order to regain control over the protestors are initiating a crackdown.According to sources, at least 126 people have been killed in Dara and different locations throughout the country whereas the government has only confirmed the death of 26 people.Official government spokesperson said that the opposition is sparking sectarian violence in an effort to continue the protests.
