Summary Seven army officers and five ambassadors have advised Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to resign.
In response to the government atrocities on the people, the generals and the ambassadors have announced their disassociation with the government. General Ali Moshin said that he will play his part in maintaining stability and security in the country. Thousands of people celebrated on the roads after General Ali Moshin made the announcement on an Arab TV. After the announcement of the army generals, the Interior Ministry deployed tanks outside the Presidential Palace. Tanks have also been deployed outside the buildings of the State Bank and the Ministry of Defence along with other important locations in the capital city of Sana’a. On the other hand, Yemeni ambassadors in Council Offices of Paris, Brussels, Geneva, Berlin, London and Frankfurt have also advised the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to resign.So far, more than 50 people have been killed in the anti government movement that started in January.
